Home Towne Square a classic neighborhood
Landmark Homes’ 55-plus community west of Ephrata blends old-fashioned charm with modern amenities
Home Towne Square, a 55-plus community by Landmark Homes, is located just west of downtown Ephrata. But walk its quiet streets and winding paths, and you’ll feel transported to another time.
The Arts and Crafts-style homes in a palette of colors, the inviting front porches with ceiling fans, the picket fences and gazebo evoke the charm of classic neighborhood living from days gone by. Yet Home Towne Square offers all the modern amenities a resident could desire.
The private community clubhouse, or Towne Hall, offers fitness equipment, a library, kitchen, and plenty of space for all the social activities of the neighborhood, from parties to group meetings. There’s also an outdoor swimming pool and biking/walking trails.
When you’re ready to venture beyond the community, Home Towne Square offers easy access to points beyond, such as New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as many amenities right in Lancaster County. And the best part? The no-maintenance living at Home Towne Square means no worries about mowing, mulching or snow removal, so residents can “lock and go” whenever their hearts desire.
Currently in the second of five phases, Home Towne Square will have 300 single-family residences when complete.
There are 14 one- and two-story floor plans to choose from, ranging in size from about 1,800 square feet to just over 3,200 square feet, giving homebuyers a multitude of options to suit their lifestyle. All homes feature first-floor owner’s suites.
Homes start at $275,600.
Home Towne Square currently has two brand-new, move-in-ready homes.
The two-story, two-bedroom Thorndale features an open kitchen with Cambria quartz countertops, raised breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and a pantry. The kitchen overlooks the dining area and a cozy hearth room that shares a see-through stone surround gas fireplace with a great room featuring built-in bookshelves and a large bay window. The first floor also includes a study with coffered ceiling, a powder room, and the owner’s suite, complete with spacious closet and a private bath with tile shower and cultured marble double vanity. Upstairs, a versatile loft area features a window seat with storage at the bay window. The second floor also includes an additional bedroom and full bath. At 2,655 square feet, the Thorndale is priced at $364,700.
Also move-in-ready is the Plymouth, a spacious one-story with special touches like a brick accent wall in the kitchen and a gas fireplace with raised hearth in the living room. The kitchen showcases a curved custom island with raised breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and Cambria quartz countertops with tile backsplash. It also has a pantry. A coffered ceiling and French doors add elegance to the study. The owner’s suite features a large closet and a private bath with cultured marble double vanity and a 5-foot tile shower. Two additional bedrooms, a second full bath and a laundry room complete the first floor. Sliding glass doors off the living room lead to a screened-in porch. Although the Plymouth is designed as a one-story home, it includes a spacious bonus room on the second level, perfect for use as a guest retreat, sitting room or hobby area. At 2,614 square feet, the Plymouth is priced at $414,800.
In addition to the Thorndale and the Plymouth, there are several other models in the finishing stages of construction.
